Abstract

This qualitative case study investigates the effectiveness of integrating digital technologies into English language instruction. Despite the growing importance of technology integration in English Language Teaching (ELT), many educators face challenges in effectively incorporating digital technologies into their instructional practices, which can hinder the learning process and limit student engagement. This study aims to explore the benefits, challenges, and solutions encountered by students and teachers in technology-integrated ELT, and to provide insights into the effective integration of digital technologies to enhance instructional effectiveness, student engagement, and motivation in ELT; blended learning, problem-based learning, and collaborative learning approaches are effective in technology-integrated ELT; technical issues, varied learning styles, and the need for ongoing teacher training and support are significant challenges; proactive problem-solving, collaboration, strategic planning, and effective technology management facilitate successful technology integration. This study contributes to the existing body of knowledge on technology integration in ELT, providing insights into the benefits, challenges, and solutions encountered by students and teachers regarding technology in class rooms.
