Abstract

Islam has granted women clear and undeniable rights of inheritance as part of a comprehensive system of justice. However, in the modern era, various social, cultural, and legal barriers often prevent women from accessing their rightful shares. This deprivation not only leads to injustice towards women but also disrupts familial balance and social harmony. This study analyzes the challenges of women’s inheritance from an Islamic perspective and explores solutions in light of the Qur’an and Sunnah. The findings highlight that the Qur’anic principles of inheritance are not limited to the distribution of wealth but constitute a holistic framework of equity and societal stability. When applied effectively in contemporary societies, these principles can safeguard women’s rights and foster a just and harmonious social order. In essence, the Islamic viewpoint on women’s inheritance is crucial not only for individual justice but also for the moral and structural development of society.
